Most of you are probably aware of the fact that the body's energy can be measured with infrared radiation, an invisible form of light that comes from body heat, but you may not know that the human body radiates visible light in extremely small quantities. Scientist acknowledge the human body directly and rhythmically emits light. Humans literally glow, although this "visible " light is 1,000 times less intense than the spectrum detectable with the naked eye. This is known as Ultra Weak Photon Emissions, or UPE. Scientists in Japan used extraordinarily sensitive cameras called cryogenic-coupled devices which are capable of detecting single photons. They found the body's glow rose and fell throughout the day, having it's peak at 4:00 p.m. and gradually decreasing until it reached it's lowest point at 10:00 a.m. These diurnal changes in photon emission might be linked to changes in energy metabolism, as metabolic rates are known to change in a circadian fashion. Faces are said to glow more than the rest of the body, possibly because the face receives more sunlight. Melanin, the pigment behind skin color has fluorescent components that could enhance the body's minute light production.
Higher photon levels were detected specifically in the cheeks, the upper neck and forehead. This may be related to the proximity of the chakras in the upper torso and face.
Virtually all living creatures emit light, albeit faint, and this is thought to be a byproduct of free radicals and their biochemical reactions. Given this faint light is linked with metabolism it suggests the same cameras could be used to detect medical conditions, according to researcher Hitoshi Okamura, a Circadian Biologist at Kyoto University in Japan. "If you can see the glimmer from the body's surface, you could see the whole body condition", per Masaki Kobayashi, Bio Medical Photonics Specialist at the Tohuku Institute of Technology in Sendai, Japan. In terms of health, these sensitive cameras see what energy healers have detected all along...distorted/ diseased energy in a person's etheric field. These disruptions are said to cause over 90% of all illnesses. The etheric body is an energetic structure located outside and within the physical body, functioning as a blueprint for our physical form. The physical matter of the body's tissues exist because this vital energy field shapes and anchors them. An etheric pattern underlies all living things within the physical world.
